WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE DEVELOPING OUR MODELS: Developing a model means much more than simply signing them. It involves actively helping them build the skills, materials, and industry relationships needed to create a successful career. Even when a model is in a different state or country, development can still be done remotely through regular communication and guidance. This may include: • Reviewing and updating digitals and portfolio images. • Advising on grooming, fitness, skincare, and overall presentation. • Providing posing, runway, and self-taping guidance. • Helping build a professional social media presence. • Coordinating test shoots with reputable photographers in their market. • Submitting the model to agencies, clients, and casting opportunities. • Preparing them for agency meetings, castings, and interviews. • Monitoring measurements, marketability, and career goals. • Offering feedback after castings, test shoots, and agency appointments. • Strategically placing them with agencies in key markets that fit their look and potential. A mother agent’s role is to guide and advocate for the model’s long-term career, regardless of where they are located. While in-person meetings can be beneficial, consistent communication, industry expertise, and a clear development plan are what truly drive a model’s growth and success. Many successful models are developed remotely and locally before ever relocating to a major market.
